Update 9/05/2014 - We finally have the real story behind Victoria Stone and its inventor Dr. S. Iimori

Gemtree Creative Designs was recently contacted by Mrs. Masako Kobayashi; as a former office clerk at Iimori Laboratory she knew the late Dr. Satoyasu Iimori and is now a close friend of his family. To those of you that are not familiar with Dr. Iimori, he is the creator of the synthesized natural gem called Victoria Stone. Mrs. Kobayashi contacted us on behalf of the Iimori family, they were familiar with the stories about Victoria Stone that have been spread repeatedly over the years and were sincerely concerned about the inaccuracy of the information they contained. The family appreciated our interest in Dr. Iimori and they trusted Mrs. Kobayashi to disclose numerous facts to us about Dr. Iimori and the creation of Victoria Stone. We are in the process of updating our web site with the material provided by Mrs. Kobayashi, and with information from an authoritative source she gave us for reference. The updates should be ready for web publication within the next week. We are deeply grateful to the Iimori family and Mrs. Kobayashi for providing us with their firsthand knowledge of Dr. Iimori, his pioneering accomplishments, and the history surrounding his creation of Victoria Stone. We are also honored the Iimori family selected us to present their information and provide it to all those that share our interest in Victoria Stone and its history.

Update 10/06/2014 - Part 1 of our Victoria Stone Series is in Review

Our contact with the Iimori family provided us with access to a great deal of information on Victoria Stone and its inventor Dr. Sato-yasu Imori. We have decided to publish our findings in a four part series. This is due to the volume of information that will be presented, and the time needed for a factual review by the Iimori family prior to publication.

Part 1 in our 4 part series covering the history of Victoria Stone and the work of Dr. Sato-yasu Imori is nearing release; it's currently in final review being checked by the Iimori family to ensure its accuracy. In part 1 you'll find out how we obtained the information for our series through our contact with the Iimori family in Japan. We'll look at some of the myths surrounding Victoria Stone, and then we'll separate the facts from the fiction. An overview covering the history of Victoria Stone will go over the timeline from the initial synthesis of the gemstone to the end of its production. And we discover what may have motivated Dr. Iimori to create Victoria Stone and the other imitation gemstones that were produced and marketed by his company. The initial installment of the series will reveal some unexpected information about Victoria Stone that will change the common perceptions we thought were true.

Next month, in part 2 of our series, we will pick up where we left off and provide more information on Victoria Stone and the other stones produced by Iimori Laboratory, Ltd. The next installment will contain insight into Dr. Iimori’s work with his Crystal Habit Modifier, known later only as the “Habit Modifier”, it was a crucial component used in the production of Victoria Stone.

Later in parts 3 and 4 of this series we will provide an in-depth look at the life and work of Dr. Iimori. As a Doctor of Science he was educated in part by the Nobel Prize winning scientist Frederick Soddy in Great Britain. As a scientist, researcher, inventor, teacher, lecturer, and author; he was truly an amazing man that accomplished much more than the invention of the beautiful imitation gemstones that we know him for today.
